Limitations in evaluating online education

Traditional online education platforms lack the ability to assess learning outcomes with AI. In this field, learners need to actively participate in the course and complete various tasks, such as watching videos, reading materials, and participating in discussions. However, assessing learning outcomes on these platforms is very difficult because traditional online education platforms usually use quantitative metrics to assess learning outcomes, such as test scores and task completion rates. While these metrics can provide some feedback to teachers, they cannot fully reflect students' learning progress. For example, a student may score high on a test, but this does not necessarily represent their deep understanding of the course content.

Similarly, task completion rates cannot measure key skills such as critical thinking, creativity, or communication skills that students may demonstrate in the course.

Therefore, a student may perform well in one task, but this does not necessarily mean that they are equally excellent in other aspects of the course. Quantitative metrics are difficult to capture students' personalized needs, resulting in evaluation results that may not accurately reflect students' true abilities.
